She could get used to this—waking up to chocolate in bed while he runs out out to pick up some coffee down the road. He’s really outdone himself, the box is positively stuffed with a bevy of chocolate covered strawberries and accompanied by Italian white chocolate pastries filled with brandied chestnut ganache. A light breeze through an open window twines the smell of mulled plum wine around her. He’d brought it over last night and the plum and berry blend had entranced her from the first sip. Smiling dreamily she falls back into the pillows as she hears him getting back, thinking to herself: What is life without a few “Vices.”

“Vices” is, in my opinion, quite true to its name and it’s not your average gourmand scent (though its absolutely as sweet and decadent as you’d hope). This is, first a foremost, a chocolate scent—and a delicious one at that! Decadent salted caramels coated in dark chocolate tempt you into their depths, while notes of creamy white chocolate swirl in the periphery—as if sitting beside the caramels on a plate. It’s rich but not too rich, creamy without being overly sweet, and complex in a way you may have thought you could only find in the real thing. All the while, the intensity of the cocoa is softened by the bright and fruity contrasting notes of mulled plum wine and chocolate strawberries—a blend I can only describe as purely enchanting. The experience as a whole becomes even more bewitching when the candle is lit, blooming notes of roasted chestnut & brandy filling. For my chocolate lovers, gourmand lovers, and berry fragrance lovers- this one is for you.
