SCENT NOTES: dewy palms + tropical storms + cold crystal + citrus zest + kerria flowers + ocean tides & hints of seaweed

You stand beneath one of the massive crystalline archways of Lunathion and breathe in. A tropical storm is blowing in, bringing with it a quality in the air that only happens this time of year. The humidity amplifies the ocean’s slightly bracing notes of salt and hints of the seaweed brought by the shifting tide. Blooming florals and vibrant citrus notes, usually drowned by the bustle of city life, swirl on the slight breeze, alongside that of the damp palms. Despite the heat you luxuriate in the experience of it: this meeting of sky and sea and sea and glittering crystal that is unmistakably “Crescent City”.

Out of this entire collection—and possibly every candle I’ve ever made!—this is easily the most clean. This fragrance is ultra fresh, with just the right combination of “clean laundry” vibes and tropical zestiness, landing somewhere between an aquatic floral and an oriental fragrance. I really wanted to capture the vibrancy of life in the city while keeping things somewhat realistic with notes of Lunathion’s arid, coastal climate. There are some really beautiful asian-inspired notes in here that I couldn’t help but use, in an attempt to add a little of Tokyo or Hong Kong’s bright urban sleekness to the blend.

Hand poured with natural, vegan coconut soy wax and decorated with statice, epsom salt & green bamboo salt.

These 7oz candles are made in iridescent rainbow glass Antiquarian vessels.
